What is Seratopeptidase?

Seratopeptidase (also called serrapeptase) is an enzyme supplement originally derived from bacteria in silkworms. It is used for its anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, and swelling-reducing properties.

Uses:

• Reduces inflammation and swelling (after surgery, injury, or trauma)
• Relieves pain (arthritis, sore throat, sinusitis, dental pain)
• Helps clear mucus (chronic respiratory conditions)
• May aid in healing (post-surgical recovery, sprains, strains)

How to Take it? 

• Dosage: Commonly 10–60 mg per day (10,000–60,000 units), but always follow your doctor’s or the product’s instructions.
• Administration: Take on an empty stomach (at least 30 minutes before a meal or 2 hours after eating) for best absorption.
• Timing: Usually taken in the morning; if more than one dose, space evenly throughout the day.
• Consistency:
• Take at the same time each day for best results.
• Swallow whole (do not crush or chew enteric-coated tablets).

Side Effects:

Drug Interactions

• Other supplements with blood-thinning effects (e.g., fish oil, garlic, ginkgo):
  • May further increase bleeding risk.

Overdose

• Symptoms:
